The workstation supports up to 10 SATA/SAS HDD/SSDs or up to 8 M.2/U.2 NVMe PCIe SSDs in the front and rear FlexBays, with various RAID options and controllers available.
The workstation also supports up to 8 M.2 NVMe PCIe SSDs via 2 Dell Ultra-Speed Drive Quad x16 cards, with NVMe RAID options on the first card.
The workstation offers a range of storage capacities and speeds, from 600GB SAS 15K RPM to 12TB SATA 7200 RPM HDDs, and from 512GB M.2 PCIe SED SSD to 2TB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSDs.
The workstation also supports U.2 Intel® Optane™905P SSDs, which offer high performance and endurance.
The workstation has an integrated Intel® chipset SATA controller with 8 SATA ports and supports software RAID 0,1,5,10 for SATA drives and optical drive.
The workstation also supports Intel RSTe (vROC) software RAID 0,1,10 for M.2 NVMe PCIe SSDs on the first Dell Ultra-Speed Drive Quad x16 card or Duo x8 card, and for 2 front FlexBay M.2/U.2 NVMe PCIe SSDs. A motherboard activation key is required for this option.
The workstation offers optional Broadcom MegaRAID® SAS controllers for SAS and SATA drives, with 8 or 16 ports and hardware RAID 0,1,5,10. The 16-port controller has 4GB cache and Super Cap backup.
